The history of Ventilatore Gugge (Carneval Music Group)

The Carnival Music Group Ventilatore was founded in 1974 by a group of 18 male and female hobby musicians. At that time, it was not possible for families to join a Carnival Music Group for an affordable fee, so the only way to participate was to start a new Carnival Music Group themselves. The objective was to participate in Carnival community life and enjoy the Basler Carnival for a reasonable price. Even today, after more than 40 years, we are delighted that families, young and old, form the heart and soul of the Ventilatore Carnival Group.
